Rotala Macrandra Bangladesh is a new variant of Rotala Macrandra with unique leaves that are pinkish red and twisted. This stem plant is offered by the Japanese company ADA as Rotala Macrandra ‘Bangladesh’. This name is remarkable as the species Rotala Macrandra is not yet recorded from Bangladesh. A small number of well-placed stems is better than a whole massive bush.

Rotala Macrandra Bangladesh is an outstanding beautiful aquarium plant, but unfortunately, it is very demanding. It needs very good light to maintain its beautiful red and pinkish beautiful color, and CO2 addition and soft water are vital to ensure reasonable growth. It is most beautiful in groups, but do not plant individual shoots too close because this will prevent light from reaching the lower leaves. To ensure good color there must be sufficient micronutrients in the water.

It is best used as a foreground or midground plant in aquariums.

This is a new variant of Rotala with slender leaves that gives a stiff impression. The leaf color change from green to yellow depending on the growing enviornment.
